After a really busy summer it’s been really nice to spend some time at home in Leicester. Last weekend the sun came out and I had a great weekend catching up with friends, and trying out some of the newer places to eat and drink.
There’s a buzz about Leicester at the moment, and I’m really enjoying chilling here. I feel like November is going to be good month.
So it was Friday 31st October and the bar tenders in the 1930’s inspired bar Manhattan 34 all dressed up for the occasion.
This was followed by dinner and a bottle of wine at the newly opened Cosy Club which opened about 3 weeks ago. The food and lush and service is fab. Definitely one of best places to open recently and well worth checking it out.
Dinner was followed by a this carton of heaven aka traditional Italian ice cream from Gelato Village, washed down with a cappuccino in St Martins Square.
Next stop was Bar 33 Cank Street an amazing table service cocktail bar which is conveniently located directly across from Galato.
Saturday started back at Cosy Club for breakfast! I honestly can’t stay away! I choose American pancakes, syrup & bacon. With a huge coffee!!
I could not believe how blue the skies where for the first weekend in November… I love a crisp autumnal day.
My Saturday night started at the Queen of Bradgate a gastropub on High Street. Where we enjoyed some comfy pub food and took note of all the furniture and fittings… Because you can buy it all! Everything you see in the pub you can either purchase there and then or order it to be delivered.
After our meal we went to see Othello at the Curve. The play delivered in Shakespeare’s English was set in pub much like the one in Shameless with the cast also acting shamelessly. The tragic story had me gripped and made me cry. I couldn’t believe how reliant it still felt. You can still get tickets and I strongly recommend it
After all this a relaxing Sunday was spent at home!
